On Saturday, April 26, in Ottawa, CHTI Founder & COO Emmanuel Tobi was honored to speak at the STAS (Seniors Tales At Sunset ) event, hosted by the Emerging Lives Initiative—a platform that amplifies real-life stories of resilience, faith, and transformation.
With deep passion and authenticity, Emmanuel shared powerful insights drawn from his own journey—from Nigeria to Canada, from investigative journalism to faith-driven advocacy. He spoke about the importance of second chances, the power of storytelling, and how lived experiences can ignite healing in others.
“My attendance at that meeting led me to redefine the acronym as ‘Stories That Awaken Souls,’ because the stories shared at the event sparked a profound awakening within me and others. I firmly believe that as more people hear the lived experiences of others, hearts will be stirred, souls will be awakened, and the community will grow stronger for it.”
Emmanuel’s message struck a chord with many in the room, reminding all that behind every struggle is a soul that deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. The event brought together community leaders, changemakers, and overcomers, creating an atmosphere of hope, purpose, and spiritual awakening.
💬 “We don’t just share stories—we share light, we share grace, and we awaken souls to their purpose.” – Emmanuel Tobi
